Lill was born on April 3, 1952, in Waterville, Maine, and grew up in a close-knit family with her parents, siblings, and extended family members. She attended the University of Cincinnati, earning an accounting associate’s degree.
After graduation, she began working in customer service for an eyeglass Company, where she excelled in her role and positively impacted her colleagues and customers. Lill married her husband, Lonnie, for 30 years.
Likewise, they had two grown children, Clayton and Megan. The couple lived in Loveland, Ohio, which is north of Cincinnati. Lill was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting them in their endeavors.
Lill’s passion for adventure and service led her to become a Boy Scoutmaster for 11 years, where she oversaw the growth of Troop 617 from seven scouts to nearly 80. She mentored many young men and women.
Similarly, she taught them valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and resilience. She was known for her patience, kindness, and ability to inspire others to be their best selves.
Lill was also proud of representing her eyewear Company in Thailand with the Gift of Sight Program. There, she helped distribute 23,000 pairs of glasses to needy people.
She was deeply moved by the experience and felt privileged to have been able to make a difference in the lives of so many. Lill’s love for the outdoors was evident in her hobbies, which included camping, backpacking, and canoeing.
She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed attending games with her family and friends. She described herself as adventurous, outspoken, and daring, and always ready for a new challenge.
