Born on June 7, 1962, Lance Solomon Reddick was an American Musician and Actor best known for his portrayals of Chief Irvin in “Bosch,” Cedric Daniels in “The Wire,” and Phillip Broyles in “Fringe.” 

Pivoting to the film industry, Lance was highly regarded for starring as David Gentry in the 2019 Film “Angel has Fallen” and Charon in the renowned franchise “John Wick” from 2014 to 2023.

The Wire Cast Lance Reddick died on March 17, 2023, at 60. Reddick’s body was found at his Studio City home in Los Angeles on Friday morning.

TMZ reported that law enforcement stated that the cause of death of the American Star is currently unclear; however, it is likely to be natural.

Before his death, he participated in the Press Tour for the famous John Wick’s Fourth Instalment franchise. He portrays the role of Charon in the movie.

His Jon Wick Co-stars, Ian McShane and Keanu Reeves, also paid tribute to him via social media. 

A few days ago, he posted a photo of him spending time with his beloved dogs on his social media, and it was published during the same time as the New York City Premiere of John Wick 4.

However, the Actor decided not to attend the event and did not provide any explanation for his absence. This incident has been the root of the emerging controversies about his death.

Stephanie day’s public statement on the death of her husband

Stephanie Day, the wife of Lance Reddick, has released a statement following his untimely death at 60 years old.

On Saturday, March 18, Lance Reddick’s spouse of nearly 12 years took to her Instagram story to express her belief that his passing was “too soon.” 

She then thanked every fan of Reddick for their overwhelming love, support, and stories shared on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook over the last few days.

Stephanie also expressed her gratitude towards the countless Destiny players who paid tribute to Lance, acknowledging his iconic portrayal of Commander Zavala in the popular video game franchise.

Stephanie concluded her statement by suggesting that those who wish to honor Lance’s memory donate to momcares.org, a non-profit organization based in Baltimore, his hometown.

Lance Reddick Family And Kids

John Wick Cast Lance Reddick was born as the son of Solomon Reddick and Dorothy Gee in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 7, 1962.

Lance and Stephanie tied the knot and remained happily married for 12 years. They first crossed paths in 1999 while Lance acted in a play at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Stephanie worked.

They ultimately tied the knot in Minnesota in 2011 and remained devoted to one another until Lance’s demise.

While they had no children, Stephanie helped him raise his two children- Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick – from his previous marriage to Suzanne Yvonne Louis. 

According to Jukebugs, Lance and Louis tied the knot on September 7, 1986. Unfortunately, she suffered a heart attack on November 3, 2011, which led to her passing.
