Surrey Police found the dead bodies of the head of Epsom College with her husband and child on the school’s grounds.

Epsom College Murder-Suicide: Emma Pattison Death Cause
The 45 years old woman, Emma Pattison, has been the leading victim in the Epson College Murder-Suicide Case. She was found dead alongside her daughter Lettie, seven, and her husband George, 39, around 1 am on Sunday.
The family’s nearest surviving relatives have been notified and receive support from specialized personnel. An investigation into the cause of the deaths is currently being conducted.
Surrey Police believe this is an isolated case with no third-party involvement.
Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey stated that he and his team at Surrey Police extend their sympathies to those affected by the loss of Emma, Lettie, and George, including the students and faculty of Epsom College.
He added that a rigorous investigation would be performed into what took place the night before to bring peace in these stressful circumstances. He requested that their privacy be respected at this difficult moment.
According to Inspector Jon Vale, the borough commander of Epsom and Ewell, the sad occurrence is known to have generated anxiety and agitation among the residents.
Local officers will continue to be in the region shortly to assure students, parents, teachers, and the local community.
According to Surrey Police, the three fatalities have been brought to the coroner’s attention.

Dr. Alastair Wells, who chairs the board of governors at Epsom College, communicated the complete shock and disbelief of the college community at the tragic news.
He added that his thoughts and condolences go to Emma’s family, friends, & loved ones, as well as the pupils and colleagues whose lives she positively impacted throughout her successful career.
Emma was an excellent educator and, above all, a delightful human being. The college will appropriately remember Emma and her family per their wishes.
Additionally, he said that College Administration needs the time, space, & respect to deal with this heart-wrenching loss at this time correctly.
Mrs. Pattison, who previously served as headteacher of Croydon High School in South London for six years, took on the role of Epsom’s first female head in September of 2022.
Before Christmas, Ms. Pattison appeared on the Epsom Insights podcast and shared that taking on the new job was a substantial change for her family.
The college alums, including Sir Michael Fallon, Conservative MP, Jeremy Vine, broadcaster, and Tim Vine, comedian, have boarding students paying over £42,000 per annum.
Epsom College, founded in 1855 and serving both male and female students, is considered one of the UK’s top schools based on exam results.
With an enrolment of over 850 boys and girls, the school is led by acting head Paul Williams and his administration committee.
According to Companies House, George Pattison, Mrs. Pattison’s spouse, held a position as a chartered accountant and director of Tanglewood 2016, a management consultancy firm.
