Mr. Carrick joined the Metropolitan Police squad in 2001 and later joined the armed Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection squad.
In 2002, his employers examined charges that he was a perpetrator of domestic violence.

Despite receiving several complaints regarding his behavior from the Metropolitan Police and other British Police agencies, he was re-certified to be an armed Police officer in 2017.
Because of his tendency for nastiness, Carrick’s coworkers dubbed him B*stard Dave.

David Carrick, who claimed his position as a Metropolitan Police officer rendered him “untouchable” while raping, assaulting, and inflicting “irreparable harm” on at least 12 women before scaring them into the quiet, has been sentenced to life in prison.
The weapons officer, entrusted to defend parliament and diplomatic installations after the Met overlooked clue after clue about the threat he posed, will be sentenced to at least 30 years in prison for his 17-year crime spree.
Carrick, who had pleaded guilty to 85 significant offenses, including 48 rapes, was ultimately brought to prison after a lady chose to disclose the attack on her in October 2021.
It was nearly after another Met officer was sentenced for the murder of Sarah Everard.
“You acted as if you were untouchable,” said the court, Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb, who ordered Carrick to appear in person for punishment.
You were fearless and persistent, believing no victim would overcome her humiliation and terror to denounce you. You were proven correct for over two decades.”
A representative for the attorney general’s office stated that the government had received several complaints concerning the punishment.
“Of course, the matter will be reviewed for referral to the court of appeals,” he continued.
