Dave Portnoy Scandal has been trending on social media as three more women have accused him of sexual misconduct, increasing the total number of accusers to at least six.
David Portnoy is a sports and pop culture blogger who founded the site Barstool Sports, which Penn Entertainment bought. Davey’s One Bite Pageviews is an online program that Portnoy produced in which he reviews pizza shops worldwide.
With the retirement of Mayor Thomas Menino in 2013, Portnoy ran an unsuccessful bid for mayor of Boston. Throughout the Campaign, Portnoy identified as a libertarian. He failed to submit enough nomination signatures to qualify for the ballot despite raising over $17,000 in Campaign contributions.

After significant gaming losses, Portnoy filed for bankruptcy in 2004. He owed credit card companies $59,000 and his Father $18,000. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed a tax lien for $11,795 against Portnoy in January 2020.

Dave Portnoy, the creator of the sports and entertainment website Barstool Sports, has been accused of sexual assault and rape several times.
In 2023, three more women accused Portnoy of sexual assault, bringing the total number of claimants to at least six. Portnoy was accused of filming sexual interactions without the women’s consent, among other things.
Portnoy has rejected the claims and has threatened to sue Insider.com for its coverage of the allegations. He has also claimed that Insider.com targeted him for a “hit article.”

On the other hand, Insider.com has stood by its reporting, claiming that it correctly examined the accusations before releasing the pieces.
Insider-backed reporter Julia Black claimed it stood by its reporting in a statement to N.B.C. News. According to Insider, the story began as a March assignment to profile Portnoy but developed once the reporter discovered an accusation.
On Thursday, Portnoy took to Twitter to defend himself and reject the charges, accusing Insider of writing a “hit piece” against him. He also claimed that the reporter, Julia Black, was looking for a preconceived storyline “as if the piece had already been written.”

According to an Insider investigation, three women said that sexual encounters with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy evolved into terrifying, horrific situations. According to two ladies, Portnoy strangled and recorded them without permission.
They were terrified by Portnoy’s enormous, hostile supporters, known as Stoolies and who are frequently egged on by the guy they affectionately refer to as “El Presidente.”
Insider also spoke with women as young as 19 who reported having sexually explicit online conversations with the 44-year-old tycoon. One lady, a 20-year-old college student, described their claimed sexual experience as “very terrible.”
“I continued attempting to flee, and he said, ‘Stop running away from me.'” ‘Stop fleeing from me.’ “Portnoy simply went a little harder,” she continued. After the incident, she emailed a close friend claiming it had been “so hard I felt like I was being raped… “I practically screamed in agony.”
In a video response to the charges, Portney stated that he had “never done anything odd with a female, ever, never anything even non-consensual.” “Cancel culture has been pursuing me for over a decade. He argued, “This is only the next iteration.”
In his long reply, Portnoy stated that the sexual encounters were consensual and continued after the victims supposedly felt frightened. In his reply, he includes images of explicit text message conversations with some people supposedly behind the claims.
Additional allegations involve the C.E.O. of Barstool sending tapes of himself having sex with other women. In several cases, he claims that the accusers continued to send him unwanted messages even after their relationships ended. Barstool began as a newspaper in 2003 and eventually became digital.
