Courtney Zavala was raised in Chicago after being born in Oak Forest, Illinois.

Courtney Zavala has worked in many networks as she has a long career spanning over 15 years. 

The anchor began her career as a correspondent for FOX 13 News Utah KTSU and ABC Big News KMID Midland-Odessa. 

After that, Zavala started her career as an anchor/reporter for KMID-TV Big 2 News (November 1995 to December 1997).

She started as a weekend anchor for a year and moved on to morning anchor. 

Then, she became a fill-in anchor/reporter for KSTU Fox 13 TV from December 1997 to November 2002. 

She was an anchor for the morning, noon, and 9 o’clock shows and worked as a general assignment reporter.

Courtney worked for KPRC-TV as a weekend morning anchor, starting in 2003.  

After the departure of the original co-host Jennifer Broome in 2017, Zavala joined the network’s “Houston Life.”
