Police spoke with Epps, who told them he was in town for a show at Gain bridge Fieldhouse and forgot the gun was in his backpack.
According to the Police report, they found a 38 Special Air weight revolver loaded with four rounds of Hornady 38 Special ammunition; the firing pin barrel was empty. The Police then secured the gun.
Similarly, TSA agents have found 18 guns at security checkpoints at the Indianapolis airport this year, up from last year’s pace of 68 for all of 2022.
However, an airport spokesman confirmed that Epps had not been arrested in connection with the incident.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office said the incident is under investigation to determine if charges will be filed.
A person close to Epps said that the Actor has no comment on the incident. Epps also faces a potential federal fine in the hundreds or thousands of dollars.
