Clark Hit And Run case has gathered much media attention as many are curious about the nature of the accident near Seymour.

 

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office seeks assistance identifying the person driving and the vehicle involved in a deadly collision on Sunday afternoon on Cunningham Road West near Seymour.

 

In the hit-and-run, Charles Clark, 75, was killed. Clark was transferred to U.T. Medical Center following the incident, according to BCSO. He was announced dead later that night in the hospital.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the motorist who fled the scene of a tragic hit-and-run in Seymour on Sunday afternoon.

 

On May 14, deputies went to an accident on Cunningham Road West just after 3 pm, when a witness reported seeing a late model, blue full-size Ford pickup truck fleeing the scene.

Charles R. Clark, 75, of Kodak, was transported to U.T. Medical Center and died on Wednesday. Theresa Clark, his wife, was treated for minor injuries.

According to investigators, Clark was driving east when the westbound pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with her vehicle. A witness from a neighboring home informed deputies that he saw the pickup vehicle drive away after the incident.

 

Deputies from the Traffic Safety Division responded to the collision soon after 3 pm on Sunday. 

 

According to the inquiry, Mr. Clark was driving east on Cunningham Road West in Seymour when a late model blue full-size Ford pickup truck headed west crossed the center line, colliding head-on with Clark’s car, a 2018 Nissan Rogue, and fleeing the scene. 

 

A witness from a neighboring property informed deputies that he saw the blue pickup truck reverse up and drive away after the accident. The inquiry and analysis of the accident are still ongoing.

While researching the Charles Clark Hit and Run Case, it was discovered that Theresa Clark, Charles Clark’s wife, was also taken to U.T. Medical Center.

 

According to Police, Charles R. Clark, 75, of Regent Lane, Kodak, was carried by AMR Ambulance Service to U.T. Medical Center and died Wednesday evening. 

 

His wife, Theresa Clark, 71, was also transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries before being released.

 

Police are also requesting homes and businesses in the neighborhood to investigate any security footage taken during the event. They think the film will help them identify the perpetrator and give light on the circumstances leading up to the incident.

 

Sheriff Jane Thompson highlighted her worries about the hit-and-run, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in solving the crime. 

 

She said, “We are committed to justice for the victim and their family. We ask anyone who observed the event or has any information about it to contact our office as soon as possible.”

 

The BCSO has established a particular tip line for this case. Those who want to remain anonymous can call the hotline and offer any pertinent information. 

 

Furthermore, the sheriff’s office has informed the public that any information submitted would be kept strictly secret.
