Carrie Fisher Suicide news has been the topic of discussion among her fans as many believed she died from a drug overdose in her sleep.
Carrie Frances Fisher was a writer and Actress from the United States. In the original Star Wars movie, she portrayed Princess Leia.
She made her cinematic debut as the precociously sexy Lorna Karpf in the Columbia Pictures comedy Shampoo in 1975, when she was 17. In the film, Lee Grant and Jack Warden play her parents. The film also stars Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, and Goldie Hawn.

Fisher published many semi-autobiographical books, including Postcards from the Edge, an autobiographical one-woman show and a non-fiction book based on the play Wishful Drinking.
She authored the script for the film adaptation of Postcards from the Edge, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Carrie Fisher died of suicide. According to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, her official cause of death was sleep apnea and other circumstances.
Fisher had cocaine, morphine, and ecstasy in her system at the time of her death, according to the autopsy. Still, investigators could not determine if these substances led to her death.
When Fisher was brought to Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital on December 23, a toxicology study revealed that she had cocaine, methadone, MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy), alcohol, and opioids in her system.

The test findings “indicate that there was heroin exposure, but the dosage and period of exposure cannot be determined.” As a result, we cannot determine the relevance of heroin as a cause of death in this case.”
According to the autopsy, the cocaine was ingested during the preceding 72 hours, based on the results of the tests.
Fisher fell into cardiac arrest four days later, on December 27. Just before 9 am, authorities declared the “Star Wars” Actress dead after 90 minutes of attempts to resuscitate her.
The coroner’s statement also included “additional conditions: atherosclerotic heart disease, drug usage” and the reported cause of death. It also said, “How Injuries Occurred: Multiple drug ingestion, importance unknown.”
Carrie Fisher Cause Of Death And Family Explored
Ms. Fisher’s death was attributed to sleep apnea and other circumstances. Medical examiners did not dissect the body at the family’s request. Instead, they performed body CT scans.
“The family wanted no autopsy in this case,” said Brian Elias, chief of investigations. “Whenever feasible, we endeavor to fulfill the family’s wishes.”
Examiners discovered a tattoo of a moon and stars on the body’s right ankle, as well as “extensive metallic dental treatment.”
Billie Lourd, Fisher’s daughter, told People magazine on Friday night that her mother died due to drug usage.
“My mother spent her entire life battling drug addiction and mental illness. She died as a result of it. “She was purposely frank about the societal stigmas surrounding these disorders in her work,” Lourd told People.
Todd Fisher, Fisher’s brother, replied to Friday’s official cause of death. Fisher’s assistant informed Police that she slept most of the flight and had a few apneic episodes, which was expected, according to the coroner’s report.
According to the report, Fisher could not be roused near the journey’s conclusion. According to the complaint, she began vomiting heavily and collapsed a few minutes later.
His sister’s struggle with drugs and bipolar disease “slowly but steadily jeopardized her health over many, many years,” he added. “I honestly believed we’d grow old together, but nobody was surprised when she died.”
Drug usage can worsen sleep apnea, perhaps fatally. However, the study does not specify whether Fisher used any medications on the day she had a cardiac event on the overseas trip in December.
