The accident happened on Saturday around 5:27 pm on Cherokee Road, close to Overbrook Road.
Before the crash, the car Annabelle was in was reportedly speeding on Old Leeds Road and then turned onto Cherokee Road.
The Mountain Brook Police Chief, Jaye Loggins, confirmed this. When the police received the accident report, they quickly went to the scene.
They found a woman and two young girls injured in the crash. All three were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Despite the efforts to save her, Annabelle’s injuries were severe, and she was pronounced dead at Children’s of Alabama at 6:20 pm on the same day.
