When the cops arrived at the scene, they found Abraham Archie-Boy Barbly, a 20-year-old from Brooklyn Center, lying on the kitchen floor with multiple gunshot wounds.

Barbly was pronounced dead at the scene despite the first responders’ efforts.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled his death a homicide.

Through interviews with witnesses at the party, investigators learned that Raheim Tyrese Cooper, a 19-year-old from Brooklyn Park, and Barbly were seen arguing at the party.

Witnesses reported that Cooper threw a punch, then pointed a gun in the air and dropped it. Shots were then fired.

Witnesses also told investigators that Cooper and Barbly had an “ongoing dispute” and had been fighting over Snapchat for the past few months.

Outside the house, officers found a black backpack containing a loaded Glock handgun, several bags of what appeared to be marijuana, and a cell phone.

The backpack was being held by a girl who said Cooper had asked her to hold it for him.

Cooper was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder with intent and second-degree murder while committing a felony in connection with Barbly’s death.

He remains in custody at the Hennepin County Jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
